Non Compete Clause
Would an employer need the orignial copy of a signed non compete clause that is being challenged, or would a copy of the original suffice. The employer is stating that the original was stolen.

Re: Non Compete Clause
Under the Michigan Rules of Evidence, which are similar to the Federal Rules of Evidence, if the original is not available, the a copy could be introduced into evidence with proper authentication, under the best evidence rule.
