Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Michigan

Collect monies from documented, though not notorized, sale of motor vehicle

I sold a motor vehicle to person. They signed a note promising to pay installments to equal the amount of $500. This was in May of 2001, so far I have only received $20. How do I collect the rest of the money that they owe me? I don't want the vehicle back...I sold the vehicle to them in good faith...how do I go about this to make them pay me what they owe me?

You can file a lawsuit in small claims court. The filing fee is small, $35 I think, and you can go to court without a lawyer.
