Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

Hiv

I dated a man for 8 years recently off and on, currently off.

While we were dating I was told by his brother and his niece that his wife (whom he has not legally seperated from nor resided with for 12 years) is HIV positive.

This man admitted to me he had cheated on me at least twice during the 8 years we were together with his wife.

This mans brother and his niece informed me of this HIV, when I confronted this man about it and asked him if he knew anything of it, he response to me was,''Yeah I heard about it over a year ago from Ronnie''.

Ronnie is also an ex of this mans wife.

This man then acted like it was no big deal.

I have no reason to believe his brother and niece would lie to me about something like that, but I also do not know if for fact his wife is HIV or if it is just rumor.

If she is neither herself nor this man said anything to me at all about it.

I have 3 children that have nobody but me in their life, HIV is like a death sentence to me and not to be taken lightly.

I need to know what I can do and how I go about finding out if this is Rumor or Fact about the HIV. As this does affect me and my life, to the point where I can not even sleep any more out of worry. Is this not illegal to not tell me?

Re: Hiv

it is very simple. If you are tested and are negative, end of story. If you are positive, have him tested too and go to the police. It is criminal I'd he knows he is positive and gives it to you. Www.kliszlaw.com. Tim Klisz
