Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
I was pulled over by a State Trooper in Michigan for speeding (dummy, I know.) He then searched my vehicle and found marijuana and a pipe. On my ticket he marked civil infraction instead of misdemeanor. I'm confused, since I thought poss mj cs was always a misdemeanor? What's the difference, or was it a mistake on the officers part?

Clerical errors won't have any effect on the charge, but call the criminal clerk at the court stated in the ticket and ask if you are scheduled for an arraignment. If you are, you've been charged with a misdemeanor.
