Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

I'm being threatened by a business owner...

He says that he has video of me ripping a bathroom sign off his wall. I don't recall doing it. A girl sent me a picture that she took of me holding a bathroom sign and this picture also ended up in the hands of the bar owner. He says he has me on VIDEO that shows me taking it, posing for the picture, and giving it to someone else to take. What are the penalties if this is, indeed, true? What if he's bluffing about the video and all he has is the PICTURE of me holding a bathroom sign? I mean, who knows where it came from...I don't even recall taking the picture. I'm confused about this whole thing...I don't know what to believe. I have a hard time believing I ripped the sign off the wall. The person who says he saw me do it (according to the owner) is someone who would make stuff up to get me in trouble. So whats the penalty if I'm found guilty? Is it legal to video me without notice? If theres no video (say he's bluffing), is the picture and someones ''testimony'' enough to find me guilty? The owner says he's pressing charges...and he knows my name and where I live and work. He's also posted my picture publicly and posted insulting comments about me; claiming I'm ''retarded and have no penis'' Stuff like that. Is that legal?

What do you mean you "don't recall" ripping a bathroom sign off his wall?

You do realize that one of the side effects of heavy drug use is PARANOIA!

Even if all this bad behavior you're accused of is actually true, it's no big deal. At most you're looking at a small fine and maybe a short probation if a prosecutor is interested enough to issue a warrant - which I doubt since time has passed.
