Uttering and publishing is a felony that carries a maximum prison term of 14 years. The amount of time (if any) that you will actually have to do is based upon how your sentencing guidelines calculate. If you don't have any prior criminal history, a good criminal defense attorney may be able to get you sentenced to probation and community service.

Your inquiry is greatly lacking in detail, but generally, if you have no prior criminal record, you're looking at 1-2 year's probation
