License in IL......1st DUI in MI
My boyfriend just got his first DUI while driving in MI. His driving record was clean prior to this. His license and residence are in IL. He doesn't know what to do and can't afford a lawyer. He has a full time job in IL and going back to MI during the week is practically impossible. What should he do?

Where in Michigan did this happen? That is the most important question anyone will ask.
Your boyfriend had better recognize the seriousness of this charge. It will cause his license in Illinois to be suspended if he doesn't take care of it properly.
Because he is working full time, most judges will expect him to hire a lawyer, and not appoint one for him.
Hopefully, he has a good driving record.
