Hello, I have received a copy of your post regarding your daughter. Involuntary termination of a parent's rights is difficult. but not impossible. Lack of contact by the parent over an extended period can be a basis for that decision. You should retain an attorney to assist you with that effort.

As far as the issue of him getting his hands on your money, that can be solved by making sure that your assets are either already in a trust or are transferred to a trust. You would also do this with any life insurance you have. You would be the trustee while you are alive and then a person you trust would be the successor trustee upon your death or incapacitation. The successor trustee would distribute your assets according to the directions set forth in the trust. That means that you would determine who would receive your assets and when the distribution would made.
