My grandson

What are our chances of adopting our grandson after my daughter passed away? He has lived with us since birth, the father owes 40,000.00 in back child support. His sister picks him up about 2 or 3 times a year to visit and his father is almost never there. His father lives with his girlfriend in Canada, I believe

The chances are high if the father is unlikely to contest it. It can be difficult if the father decides to contest it. You should consult a local attorney experienced with adoption.
