Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Me and my husband r seperated and giving eachother space to try and fix our marriage. we have a daughter together and we want to keep joint custody but i want to go to PR for 2 or 3 months and he says not to take my daughter but i dont want to leave her shes always with me unless i am at work and i just want to know if i do take her will i get in trouble with the law?
