Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan
Stalling
Plaintiff married Defendant and she had two children from previous relationships. Plaintiff and Defendant were married for 8 months....Plaintiff filed for divorce....Defendant is stalling....it is now 7 months since Plaintiff first filed....how to stop this stalling...soon to be trying to get divorce as long as was married...ridiculous....attorney won't listen...Defendant needs Plaintiff's insurance coverage....does Plaintiff legally have to provide insurance coverage for Defendant?
Thank you.

Re: Stalling
Defendant can only stall so long as Plaintiff allows him to. Have your attorney file a motion for a hearing and judgment of divorce, if the couple had no children between them and no real property to speak of, it should be a quick hearing. Then, make sure the Order gets filed promptly.
