Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan
Is a Statis-Quo order typo binding?
I'm the plaintiff in a divorce. The Status-Quo order drafted and signed by the referee states not once but twice that the defandant is to maintain all household bills. I realize this is a typo. However, since it is a legal court document can it be reversed/corrected or is it a binding contract?

Hello: I have received a copy of your posting regarding a Status Quo Order. The Order can be modified, however, the parties need to do something affirmatively to accomplish that. It makes sense for the 2 attorneys to submit a stipulated Order correcting the mistake. John C. Talpos (http://www.Mich-Lawyer.com)
