Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Michigan

neighborhood slum lord and our rights

there is a house/apartment in our neighborhood that is vacant, trashlittered, and in violation of many city ordinances. it decreases our neighborhood property values. we know who owns it (local business person) the city doesnt do squat to enforce ordinances. can i/ we as residents take legal action to get her to comply? we do have funds for legal action

You may be able to sue the owner for nuisance, both per se for violations of the state and municiple code, and in fact for other nuisances. You may be able to sue for injunctive relief as well as money damages.
