Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Michigan

no payment of rent

I was recently given a summons to appear in court for non-payment of rent, I had at that point already sent a partial payment, my question is do I have toappear in court since they have excepted the payment and cashed the check and will I have to pay court costs

Re: no payment of rent

You need to appear in court. As to the rest, it is in the judge's discretion.
