Legal Question in Personal Injury in Michigan
In July 2009, my boyfriend of five years jumped out of my car when we were arguing. I was driving down Grand River Avenue going about 45 mph (the speed limit) towards his home in Brighton, MI to drop him off. He suffered a severe head injury and died a day later due to swelling of the brain. I was kicked out of the hospital by his family. I was not allowed to attend the viewing or funeral. I have been accused of being a killer upon several other accusations. I have been afraid to go out in the town where I grew up and love living in. His family is Albanian and I was told at the beginning of our relationship that they are linked with the Albanian mafia. Additionally, one of the newspaper articles announcing his death wrote that I admitted to have been drinking before the incident which is 100% false (the police report proves it). I cannot begin to explain how severely all of this has affected me mentally and emotionally for the past 6 months. I am 26 years old and just got over having Shingles (caused from nerves and extreme stress). I would just like to know if there are any legal options I can pursue?

What legal options are you looking for? You should be concerned about being sued for a wrongful death case. That may not be feasible, but I don't see your legal issues here. www.kliszlaw.com
