Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

If a man leaves his wife after six months of marriage, and he has 3 times the current income plus a sizeabe savings, is she entitled to any help with her own support? If he dies before she does (they are both old with health problems) is she entitled to any part of the income he received DURING THEIR MARRIAGE put in his own savings?

You pose some interesting questions. If they are not divorced and there is no pre-nuptual agreement or other agreement to waive the wife's spousal election, she will recieve a portion of his estate. The amount depends on other factors. A divorce attorney would be more appropriate to answer the question about spousal support if there is a divorce after six months.
