Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Minnesota

I had a bankruptcy eight years ago. Soon after it was done I got a Providian Credit Card in the amount of $200.00 (or so they say). I recently got garnishment papers saying that I owe $5.000.00+ for this debt. I can not tell you how this grew, or what all happened but it seems that there was a court case, I can not tell you where or when) and there is a judgment against me. Is there anything that I can do? I am honestly scared of these people, there must be eight lawyer�s listed on the last page!

You may be able to have me negotiate a much smaller payment amount, possibly payable in installments.
