The sentences can vary here in Minnesota. Also, in Minnesota, a conviction also results in various civil penalties such as vehicle forfeiture and a lengthy license revocation. You should hire an attorney to review all of your rights.

The answer may depend on whether it is fleeing in a motor vehicle or on foot. Fleeing in a motor vehicle is a felony under statute 609.487. A person may be sentenced to imprisonment for not more than three years and one day or to payment of a fine of not more than $5,000, or both.
Fleeing on foot is a misdemeanor punishable by up to 90 days in jail and a $1000 fine.
