Legal Question in DUI Law in Minnesota

What implications on CDL?

A friend at work recently received a DUI (.20) double the limit in his own personal vehicle. His first offense. Just wondering what implications this has on his CDL license in Minnesota? Also he got pulled over because the cop said someone called him in??

Re: What implications on CDL?

Implications of a DWI on a CDL are very serious. If this is his first offense, then his CDL will be taken for one year. If he gets another one his CDL is gone forever. He will be eligible to get his regular license back in likely 180 days. It doesn't matter that he was driving a personal vehicle. The phone in gives the officer reasonable articulable suspicion to stop the vehicle.
