Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

I have a current child support order in the state of Arizona. My ex-husband now lives in New Mexico and I have lived in Minnesota for nearly 5 years. I now need a modification to this order because our financial roles are completely reversed and neither of us live where the original order is. Do I need to go back to Arizona for this? Or do I need to start a new case here in Minnesota?

You will need to go back to Arizona; however, if you have an open child support case through a Minnesota county, check with that county about whether it can be done with their assistance. Even if you do not have a child support case open in Minnesota, it might be helpful to check with your local child support office about opening a case because it might make it easier. If you have a child support case open in Arizonia, you might want to contact your child support officer in Arizonia.
