Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

Family Law

What would children aged 14 and 13 years need to do to leave their mother's custody in Minnesota and live with their father and his wife in Iowa? The children are very unhappy in the current situation with their mother and her husband, where thy have very little adult supervision and feel their emotional needs are not being met. They dearly wish to live with their father and his wife, where they have 24 hour supervision and are nurtured.

The father is not in a financial position to engage legal representation, due to after five years since divorce he is still paying for X wif'es debits she left him with. He also pays child support, however also has to buy clothes and other needs for the children as the mother does not provide more than food and shelter.

Would the mother be ordered to pay child support to the father if the children were able to be relocated to live with him?

You have to get a court order. It's a job for a professional.
