Legal Question in Immigration Law in Minnesota
i have a friend who is jamaican but she has a child thats american, the child,s father is in prison and she is currently in jamaica. she cant go back because she was denied a visa last year, is there a law that can help her get back to the states?
1 Answer from Attorneys
No, there is no law to help her to get back to USA. She is not married to a US citizen, who could have petitioned for her. And her US citizen child is not old enough to petition for his mother.
