Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Missouri

I am writing you because I have a judgment from Great Seneca Financial Corporation that was obtained in Clay County MO which was filed twice by Great Seneca Financial in 10/12/2004 and then again on 1/21/2005 and I'm not sure why that is but I can tell you that Great Seneca Financial is no longer in business so there isn't any possible way to pay this judgment since they have dissolved their business in 2008. I have a copy of their corporate dissolution paperwork from the Maryland Taxation and Assesment office. I did file for a dissolution with the Clay County Court in Liberty, MO to have the judgement removed since they are no longer in business. The Clay County Court responded to my petition stating that even though Great Seneca Financial is no longer in business that I still have to pay the judgment even though their no longer in business. I did provide the court with a copy of their corporate dissolution paperwork and a letter stating why the judgment should be vacated to only my request denied. My question to you is what can I do to have this judgment either vacated, removed or dissolved from the court since Great Seneca is no longer in business and how much would you charge to have this issue resolved with the Clay County Court? Please let me know.

Sincerely,

Nathan Young

You may be able to petition teh court to have the judgmetn satisfied. It will be determined upn teh true nature of Great Seneca. Even though they dissolved in Maryland, they may still be able to lawfully conduct business in Missouri. They may also have a successor in interest. If they went out of business, they probalby had lien upon their accounts receivable. Perhaps their bank holds the interest to yrou judgmetn debt. I could attempt to have the case Satisfied at the rate of $125 per hour. That is less than my normal hourly rate, because much of the work will be out of court investigation. If you wish to do the footwork yourself, I could handle the drafting, filing and appearances for a $225 per hour.

Good luck
