Legal Question in DUI Law in Missouri

Reinstatement of driving privileges after 10 year revocation

On Febrary 4, 1994 i received a DWI for refusal of testing. Taney county Missouri Court put a 10year hold on my driving privileges. Missouri Dept of revenue tells me I have to petition Taney County Court to review. I have the petition completed but no one at the courts will tell me how to file this peititon.

Re: Reinstatement of driving privileges after 10 year revocation

Well, from your post it would appear that you got yourself into some very serious legal trouble, probably multiple DWI's, and even lost the right to drive in Missouri for a period of ten years. But, you do not believe that it is serious enough to hire an attorney to help you get you license back. The courthouse clerks are under strict orders not to give people legal advice. It would be practicing law without a license, and it could cause damage to someone if it was not correct. Lawyers, generally, carry malpractice insurance to compensate anyone who might be damaged by any error the lawyer might make. Also, generally speaking, a lawyer would be educated, trained, experienced and regulated by the Supreme Court concerning ethics and so forth. My advice would be for you to hire an attorney in your area to help you. Wouldn't it be worth it to get the result you want and to know that the job was done right? Good luck!
