I have my car in the shop. The problem is they stated one price and now that its done they want more money. what can i do?

If you have an estimate in writing they can't exceed that estimate by more than 10%. If they gave you a verbal estimate, you can try to hold that price, but without it being in writing it's really hard to prove.
You may have to pay to get your car and then sue under the Merchandizing Practices Act to recover the difference between the estimates.
