Legal Question in Criminal Law in Nevada
Civil Rights/ being ''Mirandized''
I was recently questioned by two peace officers and they did not read the Miranda from a card as a matter of fact the two of them stumbled around the issue and never went to the car to get the card. Is this a valid way to ''mirandize'' a suspect or person? I was later cited for Petit theft and it could cost me my job my career and of course a fine.

Re: Civil Rights/ being ''Mirandized''
It does not sound like you were Mirandized although the officer does not have to read the Card. Remember Miranda just prevents incriminating statements from being used against you. It does not mean the charge will get dismissed.
