Legal Question in Criminal Law in Nevada
Domestic Violence Conviction in the State of NV
My ex husband is being charged with a 3rd Offense Domestic Violence. What is the mandatory time he will do in Jail/Prison for this Charge in the State of NV.
Can those charges be dropped?
Is it most likely that the DA will drop the charges even though he has pictures of my injuries taken by the police??
Does it make a difference if his parents testify on his behalf??

Re: Domestic Violence Conviction in the State of NV
He is looking at a minimum of 1 year in prison. There is a no drop policy on domestic violence offenses. If the D.A. has pictures, well, one picture is worth a thousand words in these type of cases. His parents testimony will be considered biased.
