Legal Question in Consumer Law in New Jersey

Breach of Implied Warranty

Where can I find/purchase sample Discovery Request forms for breach of implied warranty of merchantability? This is regarding a boat and since lemon law does not apply, I am assuming I should use breach of warranty. Please advise.

Re: Breach of Implied Warranty

You can start at a good law library. Rutgers Camden is close to you. When I drafted the basis for mine, I started with the federal guides for discovery and then wove in NJ law and the specific case law.

Except for very simple matters where the courts mandate the discovery that is allowed, there are no standard forms and every lawyer builds a library of what suits him best. I hold a copyright on a comprehensive set of discovery forms in one specialized area and I don't share. The simple reason is that it takes way too much time to develop a good set of discovery documents that works well in a particular area and the investment in time is something that a lawyer and his partners want to recover.
