What should I do I my male cousin who is 14 years old and in high school is getting charges pressed because he hit a female in the eye and also pulled out some of her hair as a self defense action of her pulling out three of his braids?

Re: Self Defense

He is facing juvenile court charges for assault, and he is facing potential juvenile detention time as a result. I would advise you hire a lawyer for him to try to minimize the penalties he is facing or explore the self-defense argument. I am an attorney who has handled many cases similar to yours in various courts throughout New Jersey in the past. Please contact me to discuss your case in more detail. I never charge for simply talking to a person about their case. Thank you.
