Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

I have custody of my 4 year old son. His mother has been a problem non-stop. I have been sober for 39 months. I live in New Jersey and she lives in New York. She has made false reports with child protective services. Now I am being investigated. Child service found a child neglect case on me from 14 years ago from my oldest daughter. Today, I take very good care of my son, and get him to all his medical appointments and aboard him on his school bus everyday. Can I lose my son over a old child neglect case?
