In the State of New Jersey is there a "Legal Separation" or some way to prevent my soon to be divorced husband's bad spending habits that are coming back to be my responsibility because we are married?

Well once you file the divorce complaint, it should be rather easy to fix everything and prevent him from harming your financially. I assume you don't have a lawyer which is why this is still a problem. I suggest you get one right away. Call me anytime at 732/773/2768 to discuss further if you want.
