Two weeks notice

I gave two weeks notice and my employer let me go before the two weeks was up, am i entitled to get paid?

It depends on whether there is a contract or anything that might be construed as a contract that might provide the basis for pay. In many jobs, two week paid notice is not customary. In many others, particularly where the employee is handling cash, employees are rarely retained after notice is given either way.
