Legal Question in Personal Injury in New Jersey

i rent a 1st floor apt. in new jersey and i get the left side garage and driveway with it.the second floor was being worked on due to fire.the workers kept parking in the drive way blocking me from using the garage or driveway.i told my landlord that came by one day and he told me sorry for the iconvinience and to park in the street,i did and when i went to my car at 4:00am to go to work my car was hit.i told my landlord and he just brushed me off saying it's not his fault.i just want to know is he reliable being that he inconvinienced me for the workers that could of parked in the street. thank you.

Unless your landlord or one of his employees struck you car he is not responsible for your car when it is on the public street.
