Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Jersey

Easement to provide backyard parking

I'm looking to buy a house that absolutely no place for parking, neither on the street or in a driveway. The only possibility is to create a parking area in the backyard. The only access to the backyard could come from a parking lot directly behind the house.

Is there any likelyhood I could get an easment that would allow me access to my backyard through this parking lot?

You should sign the contract with a contingency on your getting an easement for parking. Also, talk to the town engineet about why there is a house with no parking. Can you park on the street? Some towns do not allow overnight parking. If you want more help, call for an appointment.

You would have to contact the owner of the lot to attempt to get an easement.
