Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New Jersey

Exectutor wrongfully possesing items in will

When my mother died, my brother gathered a substancial amount of items which is supposed to be devided by the four of us. He is the executor of the will. Now he refuses to talk to me concerning this matter stating that the cash I received was all I had comming. That is not true. He wants to keep the rest and already regestered the late model car under his name instead of selling it and deviding it along with the rest of the items. What penelties are there for such an act?

Re: Exectutor wrongfully possesing items in will

You may petition the Court to have him removed as Executor. He is supposed to act in the best interests of the beneficiaries.
