Legal Question in Business Law in New York
Estimate vs Invoice
I have a written estimate for a well and pump. The actual cost per ft increased over the estimate and the invoice is well over the estimate that was given to me. Do I have to pay the invoice or can I just pay the estimate.

Re: Estimate vs Invoice
Examine the estimate carefully and it probably provides that the final billing will be based on the work actually done. If on the other hand, the estimate is a firm price for the job regardless of the amount of work done, then of course you are only required to pay the estimate.
