Denial of visitation to a patient

Can a husband, without wife's consent when she is alert and oriented, prevent her family, friends and minister from visiting her while she is confined in a Medical Hospital?If this is notlegal what can the immediate family do about it?

No, but the family can't do anything about it, it is up to the patient to take steps to let the hospital know whether she wants to see specific visitors or not. Is it possible the husband is acting on instructions from his wife?
