Re: Trying to find an attorney that does probono cases.

Under the Constitutions of the United States and New York State your husband is entitled to an attorney paid by the state if you can not afford one. All he has to do is supply the court with his financial information and the court will appoint an attorney.

If you do not qualify, you can contact the local Bar Association. Most Bar Associations have a reduced fee and pro bono panel which takes cases at a reduced fee if you qualify under there criteria.

Other than those resources, you are going to find it very hard to find an attorney to take the case pro bono.

If you need to discuss this further, you can contact my office for a free telephone consultation at 516.746.4747 or by e-mail at [email protected].
