International Marrages
I have afriend who is an american citizen and went to
Egypt. She was talked into marring a non-US citizen in that country.They will not let him come to the US.
And she wishes to marry again.But would like to know is her marriage in Egypt legal in the US?
If so what must she do to optain a divorce?
They have not seen eachother in two years.
And shes wishes to marry an American citizen here in the USA.

Your friend needs to get divorced before she can remarry. Unless she has reason to question the validity of the marriage, she needs to get a divorce or an annulment.
There is no question that a valid Egyptian marriage will be recognized in NY.
Perhaps her husband will agree to obtain a divorce in Egypt.

If the marriage was legal in Egypt, then it is a valid marriage. She will have to obtain a divorce. I suggest she contact a lawyer.
