Legal Question in Family Law in New York

My son is overseas

My wife and my son are overseas right now

she is asking for divorce and i think she is planing to stay overthere forever

but i need my son and i want him to live here in usa

do i have to hire a lawyer here or overseas?

I am us citizen

she is with green card

my son is us citizen

You may need to hire counsel both here and abroad.

Have you inquired as to whether your wife intends to return to the US to file for the divorce?

How long has your wife and son been overseas?

Where are your wife and son, in what country?
