Pregnancy leave in NYS

How much time am I allowed for pregnancy leave. Must my employer keep my job open?

Under the FMLA, assuming you meet the legal definitions an 'eligible employee' working for a 'covered employer', you are entitled to 12 weeks of unpaid family medical leave. Your employer need not hold your specific job, but must have one with similar duties and compensation when you return.
