Employee Email
I have to do a research paper about the legal rights of employers and employees. My question is: ''Is it legal for employers to read their employees email?''

Re: Employee Email
This is a highly charged and active area of law. Today's answer may not be valid next week.
Presently our courts have generally held that an employee using company equipment has no reasonable expectation of privacy in emails generated/transmitted using that equipment.
The general rule right now is that the employer may monitor an employee's internet usage of company equipment, and that includes Email.
