Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in New York
Too late to sue?
A doctor performed an unnecessary surgery on my toe at age 15 and it has been frozen and painful ever since. I am now almost 19. Is it too late to sue?

First, I am very sorry for your situation. The answer to your question is, it depends. In NY the statute of limitations may be tolled (frozen) until you are of majority (18 years old). To be certain I need more information. Please call me, Pasquale Calcagno, Esq. of Calcagno & Associates at 1(800)WE-FIGHT for a free legal consultation. Do not delay. Thank you for contacting my law firm.

No it is not too late, but you would have to move fast. I specialize in podiatic (foot) malpractice. You can check out my website at www.podiatricmalpractice.net or at www.kesslerlawyer.com. Only a few attorneys can handle foot cases and I am one of them. The consultation is free.
