Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York

driving

My question is I was in a car accident I was stopped at a light and a guy hit me from behind basically totaling my car but my liscense was suspended and he was driving a rental which he was not suppose to. I have severe back pains and chronic headaches do and have been seeing a doctor for the past 2 weeks do you think i have a case

You have a case; it does not matter that your license was suspended. You were hit in the rear! The issue is your damages and whether there is any insurance coverage available.
