Cashier�s Check Held for 5 days
Is it legal for a bank to hold an out of state cashiers check? I thought that was the whole purpose of using cashiers checks in the first place!

With all the scams and bogus "Cashier's Checks" floating around, they are necessarily becoming extra careful. Better to have it drawn on a NATIONAL Bank like Chase or Wells, then YOU can present with ID for cash.
Or have it WIRED to your acct for a minimal fee.
