Ruptured Disk Settlement after surgery

Would like info about settlement at end of claim. Had surgery to repair disk. Will this qualify for some kind of settlement? Still having some pain. Thanks

Re: Ruptured Disk Settlement after surgery

You are entitled to benefits until you return to "suitable" work. Usually that means without substantial modifications. At that point you can elect either (1) Permanent partial disability payments based on your medical rating - yes you can have a second opinion by a doctor of your choice; or (2) Wage loss payment if you returned to work at lower wages. If you cannot work at all, you may be entitled to permanent total disability payments and would definitely need an attorney. File form 18M for future medical care. Good luck!
