Laws on selling replica/knockoff purses in the state of Ohio
We are aware of a woman who was originally busted for selling the above mentioned purses at parties and was then told to open a legitimate business of which is now very successful at. We have also been told that legitimate or not, you will be shut down for trademark counterfeiting whether you declare them to be a knockoff/replica or not. What are the current laws in Ohio with regards to setting up a legitimate business selling these purses or who should we contact to get this information on this subject.

You cannot open a business that sells goods or services infringing on another's trademark, copyright or patent. Describing the product as a replica will not satisfy the law.
