Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Ohio
Lien
Ford Motor Credit garnished my wages for a judgement made on a car loan that defaulted. They also in turn placed a lien on our house. The garnishment is taken out of my check every week at work. We are selling our home and just found out from the Title Co. that Ford had put a lien on the house. I don't understand how they could do that? Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Lien
Any jdgment that you have entered against you acts as a lien on all real property that you own in the jurisdiction where the lien is entered. You should negotiate with Ford to make payments, and they might release the lien.
