ohio child support

in 1997 I was on welfare for approx 10 months while obtaining my LPN. The state of OHio now says my 10,000 in back support goes them when collected, I do have a current order for 345. every month which he has kept current with the last 2-3 years, is this case worth fighting. my son is still a minor in my home
