Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Ohio
cemetary mixup
My mother and grandmother purchased a double gravesite. My grandmother died in 1986,my mom just died last week. When we got to the cemetary to bury my mother, the grounds people had not dug the grave where my grandmother was buried. The site they dug was quite a distance away from where my grandmothers'head stone was. The cemetary workers were trying to tell me that the head stone was mislaid and that the site they dug for my mother is correct. We are not sure about this. This mixup has not really been resolved and we are not sure where my grandmother is buried. We had them dig up the grave where the headstone was laid but there was no body there. Our family was very hurt by this incident and the cemetary cannot tell us where my grandmother is really buried. All the time we were visiting my grandmothers' ''grave'' and placing flowers on her birthday, mothers' day and memorial day, ther was no body there. Others say we can do nothing about this. I think the cemetary should be liable.

Re: cemetary mixup
Yes, I do believe you have a decent lawsuit. If you are interested, I would probably take this on a contingency basis. That means my attorney fees come as a percentage of whatever we can win in court (no cost to you). By the way, is the cemetery in Ohio? Please feel free to call or e-mail to discuss further. This incident must be very painful to you, please accept my condolences.
